How you can help -

WHow You Can Helpe thank you for keeping connected with us, and we invite you to join in our effort!

Did you know that two years after the earthquake:

Despite our small but sure successes, there are still big challenges ahead. The school structure was built to last maybe a year! Now going on its third year, CSCS is rapidly losing the battle to heat, sun, wind and termites!  We knew that plywood and tarps would not last forever. A new school must be built and we hope to find a solution very soon. Estimated cost of a permanent structure is $150,000 USD.

Financial contributions are welcome and we hope that you’ll consider taking a trip to Haiti with us!

What Your Money Can Do!...

  1. Help us find a solution to the rebuild of Cite Soleil Community School

If you know of any way to help us facilitate the rebuild of the school please contact us immediately.  We have photos and video of the school in its current (dilapidated) state.

  2. Contribute to Community School of Cite Soleil

Your dollars help to educate and feed elementary school students as well as providing them with school uniforms and supplies!

  3. Become a SPARE program sponsor or  make a donation to the SPARE program. This program  helps students through secondary level education. No gift is too small to make a difference! Sponsorship fees depend on level of secondary education and begin at $800 per year.

  4. Contribute to our current rural effort-Tent City Relocation

Donations help 125 families move from tent camp life, to a new, much safer location in the rural countryside.

  5. Host a Benefit Concert: We have two resident musicians willing to do benefit concerts!  Contact Bryan Sirchio, Tisha Brown, or Julie Johnson for more details.

  6. Host a Haitian Art Auction: This is a simple and excellent fundraiser. Many churches and groups have successfully and easily followed our event format.  We supply the art and you just set a date and invite people!  Contact Julie for more details.

  7. We are always looking for people… to help with events, to collaborate with other churches, schools, youth groups and civic organizations, and any creative ideas anyone has that might help us further our work and our mission. Please be in touch with us if you’d like to be involved with us in any way!
